LIfe is good. These cards are designed to brighten your day. I have been a perennial art student all my life. When my interest in colors and shapes led to print making and note cards, my first batch of cards centered on nature's small creatures. Gradually, I added flower cards to my card inventory; a set of six warm-colored flower cards and a set of six cool-colored flower cards. I love flowers, and apparently others do as well, as my flower cards are very well received. Flowers can be sent for a wide variety of occasions.
My interest in animals and birds led to cards on this theme, including a set of endangered species cards in black and white.
Next came the quilt cards. Over the years I have made quilts with my love of a simple decorative look in color combinations which seem to sing together. There are thirteen quilt cards, one by my sister Marcy, and all of the quilts that I have made have been given to family or friends, or sold, so I'm glad to have the cards to remember those designs.
In 1985, two young brothers, starting up their own printing business took me on as one of their first clients. I am happy that Mark and Greg of Ace Printers in Palm Springs, California still print my cards.
The format for all the cards includes quotations that I have collected and decided to put on the back of each card, leaving the insides of the cards free for one's own personal message.
My interest in the environment led to the exclusive use of recycled paper and soy-based inks.
As I said, life is good. It's fun to get up in the morning and work on cards or cloth sculpture or something as yet to be discovered. In the meantime, my cards carry some of my thoughts and feelings to you, and now you can pass on these thoughts and feelings to others!
